I am using a PICKit3 to program a 18F26K22 on an EB006 programmer and this works OK, but I get an Err0045 message when trying to program a device on a EB064 programmer with the PICKit3.
The error means that the PICKit cannot detect the target voltage. When checking the EB064 circuit diagram, pin 2 (VDD) of the 6-way SIL connector to the PICKit3 is not connected. What do I need to do to be able to use the PICKit3 with the EB064?
Kind regards.
Leo

Re: ERR0045 when programming EB064 with PICKit3
Hi
Although EB064 features says about PICKIT2's compatibility not about PICKIT3. But it might work. You have to check J5 J6J7 J19 are in PICKIT position not in PP position. Please have a look in the data sheet of EB064 for more details (page6).

Re: ERR0045 when programming EB064 with PICKit3
Hi Dazz and Enamul,
Thanks for your respective replies. I had read the posts you mentioned previously and tried various things, including powering the target from the PICKit3. None of the suggestions worked, unfortunately.
I have strapped pin 2 of J4 (the 6-way SIL connector on the EB064 board connecting the board to the PICKit3) to VDD with some wire and everything works fine now!
Kind regards.
