Licence Activation/registration issues

Post by hmcleod »

just got student/hobby version on CD
entered the licence code with cD installed no problem, got the activation message and activated online, got an email back with new code and my full name, however when copying the activation code to clipboard and entering it with my name it says invalid code. noticed that on first going to the screen to enter the code it put what looks like a randon series of letter in the name field, using this with the received code validated okay but the screen dissappeared without my writing the random chars down.
Now when running it says unregistered and going to register with my name and th erecieved code doesn't work here either, I guess I need to enter my name as the randon set of chars again, but don't have it written down.

Now it is asking to activate again.

Hello,

I think the email you received was the confirmation email automatically sent out by our server. The processing of a registration request typically takes 1 or 2 days.

I suspect you will receive your permanent licence code by email sometime today.

No problem.

This is a fairly common mistake and we will change the automatic response email to make it more obvious what is going on.
