Flowcode Buggy: Flowcode on Linux or another way?

Post by mgerben »

Is it possible to have a Linux version of the flowcode program?
It's not written in Java, is it?

If it does not exist, what other ways exist to create programs for the Flowcode Buggy?

Hello

Im afraid that Flowcode is currently a Windows only product. This also applies to the software that programs the Buggy. A work around may be to get the software working through WINE the Linux Windows emulator. However this is untested by us so we do not know the outcome.

You should be able to use any compiler to create programs for the micromouse. However you will need the programming software to run before you can send anything to the buggy.

I think some people have used Flowcode successfully within a LINUX environment (using WINE or similer), but the problem is the programming software because Windows USB comms cannot be emulated.

This means that you may be able to produce HEX files for the buggy (and other PICmicros), but not be able to download them to the buggy.
