Flowcode USB support

Post by tony18m »

Dear Matrix Multimedia

Apart from the ECIO with its USB programming interface, are you going to offer any USB support in Flowcode for the USB enabled PICs so we can send data to/from the running code via the USB? I looked at some previous messages, and you were recommending use of RS232 and FTDI chips for communication.

It's something we've considered, but there are so many different types of USB communications that it's difficult to cater for every requirement.

Also, a lot of USB comms needs an equivalent driver on the Windows side of things. And different drivers are required for different USB protocols.

Do you have any specific requirements?

USB support in flowcode

Post by reiner stockfisch »

hi steve,

it would be perfect to have a tool similar to ecio. My specific requirements would be:
PIC 18F2255 or PIC 18F4455
driver for Windows XP prof.
DLL or code examples Visual basic 6.0 or Delphi 7 or MS C
COM 1/2
USB 1.0 driver

Do you think this could be considered ?

Would like USB tools too!

I would like to make this simple datalogger that can upload data stored in the Eeprom during a while, to Excel..
But it sounds very difficult....

Any help would be fine!
