Just spent an interesting the morning at Microchips Winnersh HQ learning about MPLAB-X
Was wondering if I could give things a try with my oldie E-Blocks. My EB006 is quite old - version EB006-00-6. The data sheet mentions ICD2 connector.
Would this be enough to allow it to work with a PicKit2 or PicKit3 programmer. I have the adapter that that came with the PicKit2 that goes from the ICD2 connector to the six pins that I assume I plug the PicKit into.i.e. Not use Matrix software / hardware to program the PIC's but the PicKits via MPLAB instead. Would this arrangement also work with PicKit3?

Provided you set the jumpers to ICD mode this should work for both PICkit 2 and 3.

Re: PicKit2 / PicKit3 and EB006-00-6
Okay assuming I do the programming via PicKit3 what should I look out for in terms of using newer PIC's that would still work with EB006
Could I use a PIC32MX250F128 for example. ( 28pin)
Any suggestions on new PIC's I could use that made use of all 40 pins as I would be interested in programming in C using MPLAB-X both 8 bit & 32 bit and using the code configurator to exploit newer function.
Thanks

Doing some checking on Microchip website looks like all 32 bit PICS are 3.3v so assume I cannot use EB006
