Hello,

Not sure if this helps but could you take the LM35DZ sensor and "dip" it in some kind of waterproof substance to waterproof it?

I'm thinking silicone or something similar but even hot glue or industrial PVA might do the job.

Thinking outside the box I have a tub of plastic pellets that are mouldable in hot water "polymorph" I've used it a few times for building and waterproofing things though I guess it might have a insulating effect on the sensor.

Spraying with varnish or lacquer might also do the job.

Hi Ben,

Thanks for the suggestions but I am not sure about doing something like that as another problem is that it is human drinking water and the sensors I have are stainless steel, I have found and ordered some PT100 stainless sensors from china so I will have a go with those when they come.

Thanks

Hi Steve,

I am not really looking for an out of the box solution, I am trying to come up with something myself using Flowcode and readily available cheap sensors, thanks anyway.

Hi Stuart

If you goto lab facility web site and click on temperature sensors there is a whole array of different types. from £5 upwards

Omega do the same but they have some more "exotic" items
