ERRORS SORTED but 8 minutes to COMPILE!

I have sorted out the errors over the weekend but I have this one FRUSTRATING problem....

Really desperate to solve the problem of compiling and sending to chip respectively taking up to 8 minutes.
I have just used a bit of well recommended software called 'Reimage' to ensure the computer is 100% and it IS but in spite of the 2 hours check, the time of 8 minutes remains. I have un-installed and re-installed Flowcode v4.5 again today and all is working except this.

I would be grateful for any suggestions/help as to what I could do to try to put this right :(((

What antivirus are you using? That's been my biggest problem regarding slow compiling.

Sorry, only thing my slim knowledge can suggest.

Hi Andrew,
Thanks for your reply and yes, it was a possibility as I recall someone mentioning that in a post somewhere but I tried dis-abling my BitDefender AV but to no avail. Also I have had that AV for well over a year and not had any problems with speed of compiling - it suddenly happened 'out of the blue'.

it suddenly happened 'out of the blue'.
could be due to BitDefender updates, or Windows updates, I'm not familiar with BitDefender, but as mentioned in other posts, it could be that you are not completely disabling it when you think you are? White-listing all the Flowcode directories seems to be a possible solution.

(Personally, I've had numerous issues over the last couple of weeks with Windows 10, which seem to have got themselves sorted over the weekend after several auto updates and re-starts)

Hi Leigh,
Many thanks - I have tried to disable my AV software as I thought but now I am not as sure so I am in the process of looking at that now and if necessary getting in touch with BitDefender. Both yourself and Benj have mentioned putting Flowcode on a 'white list' and Benj has just posted on my 'top'/last posting with a couple of links and the idea behind it so I will give that a try before involving BitDefender first.

Just to let you know I have posted in 'SIMULATES BUT 4 COMPILE ERRORS POSTING' which indicates where I have got to so far.......
