while trying to erase with 18f2685 ppp shows that cant erase how can i over come this issue

Hello,

I've just tried this devices big brother the 18F4685 and this programming ok through PPP. I then tried again and got the not erased message and the program no longer ran on the hardware.

Programming failed: <1><2><3><5><6><8><9><10><11><12><13>

Sending a third time I got the not erased message but the program again ran correctly on the device.

Programming failed: <8><10><12>

I will look into this issue and see if there is a easy way to resolve it.

Can you tell me what version of Flowcode or PPP you are using?

i use ppp 3.9 and mikroc for pic and one time i program it but the second time onwards again error message

Hello,

In PPP click on Options -> Options. Then tick the box next to Vdd Switching Manual Override.

Then select the radio button Raise Vdd after Vpp.

This is then allowing me to erase and reprogram the 4685 device successfully every time.

Do any of the other manual override options help with the device? Could it be that the device is damaged, have you got another you could try?

i tried all other manual override and check with another micro controller as well but still the same, i tried to send fuse data that is sending fine nothing else is working fine but still finding the chip

hello

i tried all other manual over rides and test the controller on my other development board of microelectrnica which works fine. there i can program it and after programming if i put the chip in matrix development board then it will works fines so the only problem is i cant program or erace the chip using ppp. if i try to send fuse data it shows done.

hope you will help me to overcome this situation coz i am planning to do my project with matrix development board coz my university only have matrix development board

Hello,

Do you know what version of PPP your using? I have zipped up the latest set of files for PPP so please try overwriting the files you currently have with these and see if it makes and difference. Also remember to play around with the manual override settings.
