Re: help with 7 segment display
Hi nc56 !
I fixed your file. When you use 7 segments display you have to connect all pins of the display. You have a warning when you connect the device witch said that if you don`t connect a pin of your device will don`t work properly but you ignored that warning. Your DP. for last two digits was not connected and RB7 witch was assigned for the first digit at DP in the last digit was assigned to common. Hope this work!
Later edit:
Hi STibor!
I fixed your file too. You miss the clear digit icon before to use the icon that the show the next digit.

Re: help with 7 segment display
You do not need to delete the display. The following 7 segment LED macro automatically rewrites the ports.Later edit:

The unused display common cathode float.

Re: help with 7 segment display
1. Test your file and my file, see what is good or not. You are wrong: if you don`t clear the display, the common of that display will light in the same time with the next digit .
2. I don`t understand what about the unused cathode that float... If you refer to the nc56`s file, he connect the first digit DP to the RB7 and at the digit two (or three i don`t remember now) he connect common to the same RB7
Later Edit:
If you write another number at the same digit, you are right, you don`t have to clear the old number. (it`s redundant)

Re: help with 7 segment display
If you do not have zero blanking, the code is good.
The video below shows the winding calculator.
The display control based on this principle.
