Back in May 2012 I finally got the v2 development board running with PPP v3 although there were still some issues regarding linking the various bits of software. I've now returned to this problem and although the v2 development board is auto-detected (I'm using the LPT interface) when I try and auto detect the PIC chip I get a message saying it can't fid the chip ID. I've tried various combinations of computers and dev boards. As far as I am aware nothing has changed although IT often do things to the PCs without telling anybody.
I am stumped. Any thoughts ?
Thanks Keith Emerson

Re: Can't ID chip on v2 development board
Hello Keith,
Here are some common causes for the failure message.
Are the boards powered with 12V DC supply?
Is there more then one microcontroller plugged into the board?
Is the microcontroller dead or fried?
What version of Windows are you using? I think that low level parrallel port stuff has been long gone for most Windows OS. Therefore there might be an issue with the high level driver?
