Flowcode 6.1.1.0 released

For those that missed last weeks Matrix newsletter announcing the next update would be released this week (as well as for those that did read it but do not want to check for updates all the time), the update is life. Use 'Check for Updates' in the 'Help' menu to get it if Flowcode does not pop up a notification...

The release notes are in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Flowcode 6\logs\changes.txt" after installation of the update.

I could not get the link to work in IE, so tried chrome and Flowcode update downloaded ok,

and i am happy first time.

very tidy.
very stable
very welcoming to the next new microcontroller experiment

but now 'again'
i will test all asap and next times and will let you know how the second time is
but i am sure - you go on in perfection in FLOWCODE, now.

Can I ask why the flowcode updates are so large ? (current update 206 Meg)
looks like we are downloading the entire program again ?

is it not possible to make the installer update the relevant files ?

I am on a 8mb Connection and because of an inadequate infrastructure on the behalf of bt and a congested local telephone exchange I am lucky on a weekend to get 1 meg ! due to " Bandwidth throttling etc .." my isp say's they cannot do anything about it unless I go fibre ... err no ££££
it is very annoying when you have massive updates .

If it does for you then it must a specific issue with my IE11 and PC.

We did create a patch for 6.1.1.0 however there were problems with it which meant at the last minute it was pulled. A lot of our recent efforts have gone into the installation and patching system to make it more robust and easier to roll out so the fact it didn't work is little annoying. However going forward hopefully we will be able to bring back patching.

Apologies for the rant Thanks for that it get really annoying at times as my internet speeds are out of my hands . Have had the official line of the cabling in our estate in in aluminium and approximately 40 years old and it's in BT hands ....

I bought new PC with Windows 7 64 Bit.
I try to install FC 6.1.1 ( 22.01.2015 )
My FC Version is fall to HomeVersion
I take the same Userdata, Activation Key and Licenze Key like in WIN XP ( succesfull as Prof Version )

I have deaktivate
- G Data Firewall is off
- Windows Defender is off
- Windows Firewall is off

No Warning Message comes.
FC tell :
Your Key has been accepted....
Please close and restart Flowcode....
..
my Username is showing in Window "Show Licenzes"
but all packs are inaktive

after restart, same.

now, the problems are start from scratch again?
..

It is always very annoying and costly to come across the same old problems.

The dependence on the forum annoying if I'm honest.

A complete uninstall is no uninstall.

After re-installing my data is still displayed.

Why are not all RegKeys adjusted after uninstalling?

Why is it to register the product properly so complicated?

It always fails at the simplest things.

My Regkey and Data 're okay, even FC announces successful registration. But anyway Home version. No ChipPack active. And I can not compile a single project.

Workaround:

After Install FC and register and shows HOMEVERSION without activated Chip Packs,
copy from succesfull registered FC version ( Professional ) the !important! basic.key ( install folder Flowcode \licenses ) from your "Windows XP" Install to the Windows 7 (x86) install folder.
Restart Flowcode and have phun.

No, that is an older version that was accidentally placed on-line. That issue should be solved now.

If you log in to your account (here) you should be able to download the Flowcode 6.1.1.0 installer.
