Re: ESP8266 Chip Pack -custom- for fc6 availabel
Pricing would be interesting and will there be support for industry standard 10 years?
Who will provide support, and have you check that this doesn't break matrixTSL intellectual property rights?

Ill just keep the good work up!
Re: ESP8266 Chip Pack -custom- for fc6 availabel
Hi Rudi
I'm potentially interested in FC6 ESP8266 Chip Pack.
Can you answer some questions:
1-
I contacted Matrix about plans for an official ESP8266 Chip Pack and the answer was:
While we have no plans ourselves to support the ESP8266 as a target,
a user on our forums has some success supporting this device with Flowcode.
http://www.matrixtsl.com/mmforums/viewt ... 54&t=16964
I was absolutely surprised that Matrix has no plans to officially have full support for a so important thing
(they suport it only as a WiFi module, not as a microcontroller),that is changing the world of simple IoT.
That said, specially due to ESP8266 importance, I'm also surprised how you developed your own FC ESP8266 chip pack
and, at least at this post, I see no comments or questions from people, other than your own.
Questions are :
a)
Is there any website about your FC ESP8266 chip pack ?
b)
Are there any other posts about your FC ESP8266 chip pack where other
than you, commented, posted and answered questions ?
c)
We are talking about full FC ESP8266 support, right ?
(For full FC ESP8266 support I meant not only as a WiFi module
but also for the powerful microprocessor that it is, allowing us
to program it in FC without limitations)
2-
I have Flowcode 6 professional with PIC chip pack.
a)
How much cost your FC ESP8266 chip pack for my FC version ?
b)
Where can I buy it?
c)
How to install it (step by step)?
Waiting to hear from you,
Thanks in advance Rudi

Re: ESP8266 Chip Pack -custom- for fc6 availabel
Hi
I definitely think a website with very good appearance and very well organized, will be a must to sell this product.
Then (I think) you will have no difficulties in selling your product because it will give it the credibility it needs.
I also really think, if your product is really good and your website will be optimized for Flowcode ESP8266 Chip pack keywords
(so it can easily be found from google searches), you will have lots of interested people.
Even I'm in fact potentially interested, for now it seams to me all the information on this post is badly organized and confusing.
Trust me, go for a good website with a good and organized presentation: With descriptions, videos, manuals, features and so on .
Does Matrix considers legal using your ESP8266 Chip pack on their product (their trial or any professional version) ?
Does your product needs any Flowcode Hacks to be used with it ?
Thanks
Waiting to hear from you again,
Miguel Garcia

Re: ESP8266 Chip Pack -custom- for fc6 availabel
Here at Matrix, we love what Rudi has done and were keen to work with him to make the ESP8266 chip pack properly supported in Flowcode v6. Unfortunately, that has not happened and we do not have the time at the moment because we're working on Flowcode v7 (there will be some announcements soon about this!).miggarcbs wrote: Does Matrix considers legal using your ESP8266 Chip pack on their product (their trial or any professional version) ?
It is difficult for us to have a clear "legal" position on this because we have only seen the videos and it is not totally clear what has been done to get this chip pack working, but as long as it does not cause us lost income or reputation then I can't see it being a problem.
We're really looking forward to seeing this new chip pack in action and will hopefully be able to sort out something official for it soon.
Regards,
Steve.
