Hi,

I'm trying to do a very small server for hhtp request and answer service. It's running, but as I try to stress it(a lot of requests), it's crashing very quickly ( a few second to few minute).
It seems to be a SPI timing problem, at first I try to cool down the ENC28J60 with cool air and it's seems to be better. But on Microship forum, they said that's a timing problem with the SPI bus and not a temperature one.

So I tried to lie on the PIC frequency to change general timing and it's a bit better but not good.
Maybe, I can change the timing of the SPI bus of The ENC28J60 component to slow it down or speed it up ?

Hello,

The Component properties allow you to change the SPI prescaler which will change the speed of the SPI comms.

If you need more options then you can click View -> Component Debugger

Then tick the tick box "Expose full component tree in property pane"

Then using the drop down list at the top of the Panel Properties window select the "CAL_SPI" component within the "TCPIP_ENC28J60" component.

You can then change the properties of the SPI connection such as polarity, phase and sample point.

Let us know how your getting on.
