Import flowchart of version older flowcode

Post by electron67 »

Hello Matrix team

If buy Flowcode 7 but not completely, only one or two packets, if you import a flowchart of flowcode 6 o 5, and this

flowchart includes components that are not included in flowcode 7; You can import flowchart older versions?

Hi Enrique

I have loaded a FC5 and FC6 programs, both had components in them that I had not purchased component packs for. Both loaded for me, just would not compile. I later purchased the additional pack to
get access to the component that I needed, then FC7 compiled the program. Although, one of them had to be modified before FC7 would accept it. Nothing to do with the component, just program structure.

Hi Enrique

No, FC7 will compile all the code you have purchased components for. The Free version of FC7 I am unable to comment on. I was referring to the comparison of FC5 Professional to FC7 Professional with some component packs ommitted on purchase.

Hi Enrique,

You can always add packages at a later date if you discover you need them. However the full suite does entitle you to do everything.

The only downside to buying in smaller chunks is if you have a license for Flowcode v6 or v5 as this will entitle you to a discount on your first purchase. I'm not exactly sure how this is all calculated but it should be documented somewhere, probably in the Flowcode 7 datasheet.

Hi Benj,

Thanks for the answer, one more question, in the standard version, you can compile the flow chart without limitations

of component or any restrictions ( except commercial ); and later switch to the professional version ( in this second

purchase, you would still have discount 50% ? )

I have checked and this is not the case. You will get the discount for every chunk you buy not simply the first one only.

Yes the standard license is essentially free, the chip packs and component packs will cost you. You can then add other chip packs, component packs or the pro license at a later date. Every purchase will be eligible for the discount based on your previous (v5/v6) license key.
