Icon control on large flowcharts

Has anyone noticed this:
When creating very big flowcharts spanning a couple of screens the individual icons get very hard to edit, especially toward the top right hand side. For instance when placing or moving an icon the "target" arrow (little yellow arrow) often dissapears off screen and releasing the mouse button drops the icon "somewhere" on the flowchart!

This once happened when I inadvertantly "dropped" an INTERRUPT icon and it had landed somewhere near a switch input.

It was many days before i found what had caused the resulting behaviour!
