I need help installing Flowcode 3 on my Vista 32 FUJITSU workstation. I have installed VB Runtime as per a previous post but cant get program to install . I get a fatal error message
which says " installation ended prematurely because of an error. Incidentally it installs ok on my Vista 32 laptop.

What is the exact error message (there should be an error number, which will help us track down the problem). Also, you could try logging the installation.

To log the installation, create a shortcut to the installation exe. Right-click this shortcut and select "properties". In the "target" box, type the following right at the end of the text that is already there (outside of the closing quote, if there is one):

 /log c:\fc_log.txt

(note that there is a space before the "/log").

Then when you run the installation, it will produce a text file (C:\fc_log.txt) which will help debug the problem. Post this file here and I'll have a look to see what is wrong.

I've got a few suggestions:

1) right-click the installer exe and select "run as administrator".

2) Make sure no other applications, including utilities such as virus scanners, are running in the background. Close all running applications and utilities, and launch the installation again.

3) Re-register VBScript.dll - see the final entry in this post:

If you get it to work, please reply to tell me which solution worked.

If none of these work, please edit the shortcut you have created and change " /log c:\fc_log.txt" to " /l*v c:\fc_log.txt" and post this up when you have run the exe - this will give us some more details on what is going wrong.

I have flowcode up and running now
I could not use a system recovery so ended
up doing a complete clean installation it went on perfect after that.
The old system went completely unstable.

I had a fatal error (no code) when installing Flowcode. Error appeared even after changing properties to Run as Administrator, and right clicking Run as Administrator.
I managed sort out problem by downloading and installing 'Windows Installer 4.5 Redistributable' from Microsoft:

As I have got windows 32 bit Vista.
After installing and rebooting PC, Flowcode installed OK.
I Believe the problem was caused by uninstalling a program which also removed one of VB dll that is vital to
Flowcode installation < pure guess work only!
By installing windows installer, missing file was replaced?
That or installer was corrupt?
