I'm new, hello everyone. I recently purchased a EB006 rev7 and flowcode 4.
I have doubts: setting 3v VDD to when programming the series PIC18xxk20 is automatic?.
If not, instruct on the process that I follow.

Re: eb006 and PIC 18xxk20
Hello
The EB006 is 5V only. The vast majority of PIC devices will run fine on it. Yu may have to check the voltage tolerances for your 18xxk20 device.

Re: eb006 and PIC 18xxk20
Hello.
Thanks for your answer but in the manual EB006 v7 appears full range of
18Fxxk20 as supported. The limit of k20 series vdd is 3.6v.
EB006 only say that operates at 5v, it seems that there is a contradiction.
Please let me confirm this information and if possible some adaptation.
thanks
Conrad.

Re: eb006 and PIC 18xxk20
Hi Conrad
Ok the electrical characteristics state that the absolute maximum voltage is 4.5V for the device. Therefore you may be able to squeeze 5V but this is probably unwise and likely to damage your device at least in the long term.
Instead you should be able to remove your external power supply and provide the 3.5 - 4.5V via the GND and +V screw terminals. This should not have any knock on effects and you should be able to run the EB006 as normal. The only problem may be generating the 3.5 - 4.5 voltage. You could use your normal PSU combined with a bit of vero boards etc with a 3.3V or similar regulator to do the voltage regulation. Alternativly you could replace the regulator on the EB006 but this will void your warranty.
I will look into the datasheet for the EB006 and edit it if nessisary to make it more clear that the device is intended for 5V usage only.
