EB-006-07

Post by Burtonian »

Hi, is it possible to use the EB-006-07 to program a PIC16C74B chip. If it is possible please can someone tell me how to do it, or recommend another 40 pin chip that is compatible with the EB-006-07.

Thank you

Burtonian

Hi,

You can see which PIC microcontrollers are supported by the programmer here: http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/datashe ... 6-30-7.pdf

I often use the PIC16F877A, 40 pin PIC microcontroller.

You should be able to get the 16F877A from most good component dealers.
Depending where you are located, you can get them direct from Matrix Multimedia

Hi to all
I did an upgrade - few months ago - from PIC16F877A to PIC16F887. Reasons: a) PIC16F887 is cheaper than F877A b) It is compatible with F877A, because is the upgraded version of it c) It includes ready modules like the precise internal oscillator (capable for driving time critical devices like LCD displays) and MCLR. No need for external parts (XTALs, RC networks etc) in most cases. d) Enhanced performance, like the IOC interrupt which is available by all pins of PortB, instead in P16F877A is available only from RB4 - RB7 pins. I tried PIC16F887 in a big project with success. PIC16F887 is an exceptional device.
BTW merry Xmas and happy new year.
