PortB-change interrupt

Post by Eric »

Hi,

I am looking for a PORTB-change interrupt for PIC18F452, but I cannot find it in the interrupt selection menu.
What I do find however is 3 times "this is retrieved from the source file".
What does this mean and which one is the PORTB-change interrupt?

Rgds,

Hello Eric

Here is a replacement definition file that will fix the problem for you. Simply close Flowcode and copy the file into your "Flowcode V4/FCD" directory.

Hallo Benj,Steve,Sean

What is with the ather pic`s ,18F6722 18F8722 .................
I now this problem before this posting, but for all problems i read coming in v4.1,so i think i wait with new posting for v4.1.
More and more i become the impression, the v4 in the moment is a very bad beta of flowcode, because i have anytime problem`s.
Work on a real project for me is the v3 in the moment the better one!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I im very excitedly if the new future are coming what us expected........
I am very disappointed over v4

Hello Wolfgang,

I understand your concern. In hindsight, we tried to cram too many new features into the v4 release.

But the improvements made to V4 are significant and make Flowcode a much better tool for developing microcontroller code. V4.1 will be released very soon and this will add a load of extra improvements to Flowcode.

Would it be a good idea for Beta testers prior to new releases? Im sure there will be quiet a few volunteers <has hand in air saying me (unless you want some one who knows what they are doing ) >. That way can iron out some bugs before officially released

We did beta test it, but presumable not with enough people or over a long enough time period.

That's fair enough. I know it’s not easy and indeed not possible to test for every scenario. As you know from previous posts, I have one of those Vista PCs’s, which is fussy, and Flowcode did not work until you posted temp fix.
So if you want me to test V4.1 prior to release, then I will be happy to do so.

It's wierd, because Flowcode is mainly developed on Vista. But I think the problem is more subtle that an OS version - it might be to do with the version pack or any other update to Windows.

Cheers for the offer of Beta testing. I might be in touch...

That was one of the things I thought of, so when flowcode was 1st installed and did not complie, I upgraded windows vista to same version windows as my laptop (which does complie ok form start). Still no change, did not complie until temp fix.

Not sure if you are aware of this. Original V4 does not work on PC I have tried with windows XP Pro 2002 sp2 intel pentium 4. It does work with your temp fix though.

Thx Benj, it works now.
I agree with the colleagues, Flowcode 4 has too many bugs and I am urgently waitng for V4.1
But I still think that Flowcode is a killer application once it will be stable. And the support is great.

Hallo together

"killer application",i think it is a hard definition.I start with the first aplikationen of mc`s 25 years ago,(i am 61), scamp,6502,z80,8085 ect. and i learn on start:
" a new software without bugs on start is not a good one"
so i not want say ,the way matrixmultimedia sell the v4 is the best, but i think all users must live with the situation in the moment.A better one come, guaranteed!!!!
I find for my self ,flowcode is very great, because the c-programming is for my to abstractly ( i start to late to learn it.....)
