EB 072 - ZIF socket NOT works

Is there someone here can help me with below?
I have bought EB 072 - ZIF socket
Have inserted EB 072 - ZIF properly EB-006-00-7 Board Multi Programs.
Bat unit EB072 - ZIF socket, but will not work.
Is there anyone here who can help me?

When the ZIF socket is attached to the EB006, the I/O is no longer available for use and the device becomes solely a programmer.

see page 4 also are the chip selection jumpers correct for your device ?

I've tried with PIC16F877A but not works!
Also jump to 40 PIN is connect!

Note that this board is designed only for programming
5V, 8-bit PIC chips, the clock and port connections are not
routed through from the EB006 to the ZIF board so you
cannot run your application from here.

What do you mean by "not works"
