Re: running a DC motor using the arduino motor shield
Hi Working now sort of.... With Duty set to 128 I get the expected 50% Duty Cycle on the analyser. However irrespective of the frequency set under properties, I always get half of expected. If set at 7.8KHz I get 3.9KHz etc. Freely admit to only starting to play with the Uno so maybe I'm doing somet...

Thanks Martin
I'll try it out later today.

Re: ECIO 40p
Hi Martin
Connected both GND pins to each other and now it all works fine. When prompted by FC to press reset it now proceeds to download.
Still doesn't show up in Device Manager though (W7) but that's not a problem to me.

Re: Connecting to ECIO 28p
Hi
Stupid question and sorry to ask, but have you tried another USB patch lead?

Re: Connecting to ECIO 28p
Hi
Thanks for the info. I'll fix that later in the week.
Getting the ECIO28p was mainly to explore FD but as the ECIO range is now discontinued I probably won't spend too much time with them other than "play".

ECIO 40p
Hi Slightly off topic FYI At the same time I bought the ECIO28p I also bought an ECIO40p16 (dsPIC). Never looked at either until now and I find the dsPIC is actually a ECIO40p... Oh well, I should have checked at the time... :) Loading the drivers on the W7 laptop I again get the connect / disconnec...

Re: Connecting to ECIO 28p
Hi
As I can download OK from within FC (albeit by pressing reset) I never looked at mLoader but good suggestion. I might try that too just to see, well after the Rioja....

Re: Connecting to ECIO 28p
Hi I don't see any com port appear at all in W7. I might try W8.1 later tonight, but as I'm staring at a nice Rioja at present, probably not <s> Whilst plugged in, does the led flash if the reset button is pushed (as per Martin's reply)? If so then you can probably compile to chip. Make up a little ...

Re: Connecting to ECIO 28p
Hi I got one of those last year. Not had time to play with it really. On my W7 laptop I installed drivers but although the laptop made the "connection" noise soon after it was plugged in, it then made the "disconnect" pretty much straight after and at no time can I see anything under device manager....

Re: running a DC motor using the arduino motor shield
Hi I've only recently started playing with an Uno, mainly to explore Flowcode Developer, so I'm no expert with it. Keen to play I downloaded your chart (and Martin's component). Whilst I don't have the motor shield I can monitor the pins with a logic analyser. No matter what I tried I couldn't get a...
