Re: VL53L0X comparison
Hi Ben I was pushed for time as I was setting up for something else and took the opportunity to do a very basic test. I was considering using one of these to establish if there were any obstacles in my way over a given distance, and as they are compact and accurate enough for me to establish if anyt...

VL53L0X comparison - update to 2000mm
Hi This is a follow up to a previous bug report regarding the VL53L0x Time of Flight sensor. In the post I mentioned that the accuracy was a bit "suspect" which may have been due to it being a cheap module available from a well known marketplace. I decided to obtain a better module that used genuine...

Re: BL0080 Supported PICs?
Hi Medelec Thanks for that. I have to admit to being a fan of the multiprogrammers as they are very convenient and I have several kicking around (EB006 of differing versions and a v2 and v3 version of the HP-xxx boards, which might warrant a place in a museum one day :) ). I've already placed my ord...

Re: BL0080 Supported PICs?
Hi Ben
I had a feeling you might say that......
Later in the week when I'm back in front of hardware I might just give this ICSP thing a go, probably decide it's a lot of bother for little reward and then order up a BL0080
Thanks for the help.
Regards

Re: BL0080 Supported PICs?
Thanks Ben I thought it was the board itself that had the capabilities, not mLoader. Does that mean that I could (for example) use FC9 to program a 16F18877 using a previous board (EB006-30-9)? When I bought the board that chip wasn't supported in the list that accompanied it. I mean using the DIL s...

BL0080 Supported PICs?
Hi
I've had a search of the forum and Matrix site for details of PICs supported by the BL0080 but haven't found any. Previous versions of the board used to list PICs that the board could program in the datasheet, but I can't find any reference.
Can anyone point me in the direction?

Hi Ben
Good point, I'd forgotten about the one-wire aspect

Re: Oscillator question (LP-Mode)
Hi Personally I don't know the actual power difference between running at say 32MHz vs 8 (or such like). Sounds like a good experiment though to obtain empirical. Can't imagine it being too drastic over a few instructions though. As you will only be running slow for a calculation or two, i don't thi...

Very cool
James Cameron should be worried by your skill even though he predicted "self awareness"

Re: Oscillator question (LP-Mode)
Hi MJU As per my reply to your v8 post, the PIC automatically switches to it's 31KHz Osc when you issue a sleep command (used by WDT) so your ratio of sleep / awake could negate any concerns of power consumption running at a higher speed when awake. Just for the sake of argument a clock running at 3...
