Panic with latest version install

Post by RGV250 »

I am not sure this is normal but I had a bit of a panic when I updated to the latest install.
I downloaded and as mentioned it took a long time but there is a kettle for such situations. It said I had to close down FC as it was stopping the install and I clicked yes even though I thought it was not running. I then rebooted the PC and opened FC up. It went past the splash screen and showed refreshing components and then closed and nothing. I trestarted again and it just did the splash screen and then closed down. I tried it again and similar. I looked in task manager and there were no instances of anything running so I rebooted again and this time all seems good.

I just thought I would report it in case others have the same issue.
Running W10 64 bit.

Thanks for letting us know, Bob. Glad it's working ok for you now.

I have seen occasionally that a background process of Flowcode might remain running if there is a problem when it is closed. This might not show up in task manager unless you select "more details" I think.

As with other Windows issues (and IT problems in general), a restart of the computer often solves the problem!

Hi Steve,
It did say it needed a reboot to complete but this one took two. Fine now.
