KS0108 GLCD Locks up 2D Panel
Hi, I've just noticed a strange thing. When I add the above KS0108 display to the "D panel, it takes focus and I cannot deselect it or do anything else with the panel until I delete this display. I tried another type of display and it was fine. Shame as I need to use this one! Regards, Colin.

Hi
I'm using v10 and it's working fine for me.
Have you done a full database update?
Regards
PS
Also ensure you enable "Check for core update" in Global Settings to receive important updates

Hi, by 'full database update' do you mean the library updates option from the help tab in which case yes I have. I also checked that the 'check for core update' box was enabled and it is. It's strange because every other type of display I select (though I haven't tried them all) works except the KS0108! Just my luck!

Re: KS0108 GLCD Locks up 2D Panel
Hi
You can check that you are up to date with FC by clicking the little purple question mark on top right. It should return Flowcode v10.0.3.31
If you are up to date with everything it might be worth deleting the component and downloading again just in case it's corrupted (or at least moving it). If you delete (or move) then the next time you update it will download the component. Components are stored in a hidden directory C:\ProgramData\MatrixTSL\FlowcodeV10\Components and the display is called gLCD_KS0108.
Regards

Thanks all. I did check that my Flowcode is running the latest version and it is. I'll wait for the component update. Strange that it worked for some users and not me!

Hi
I tried on two W10 machines running v10, a W8.1 running v9 and v10 with no trouble so it certainly seems to have been a strange bug. Anyway, Martin has now made the new component available for download.

Re: KS0108 GLCD Locks up 2D Panel
Hi Iain
The Issue is if other components are placed near the GLCD on a 2D panel, and the z order of the display is higher than the other componets.
Try this to test for the bug.
Revert the KS0108 component back to version 6 if downloaded the new version and reload your test project file
Add a couple of switches near the display.
Select the display and set the order to the front
Then try can click on the switches nearby. to change their status.

Hi, yes I did have other components near it so that would explain it. Please let me know when it is available to download as I've just tried the library update and it does not see it yet. Thanks.

Re: KS0108 GLCD Locks up 2D Panel
The update was added to the component database yesterday.
Can you try changing the files-in-use to full database again?
When you tried that yesterday the modified component was not added until after your post stating you tried the full database
