Okay - is the IR remote RC5 or NEC (which is more common)?
The transmitter program has 50% duty on the signal - which might be better reduced slightly (overloads the gain control on the receiver)?

I ran into a series of setbacks that prevented me from continuing with the project—I apologize for not letting you know. Things have calmed down now, and I appreciate the help and time you took to look into this. I have Flowcode 11 Pro and thought that perhaps the components are updated and could be used more easily via component macros. I created a small program that reads input from an IR remote and displays it on a 4-digit, 7-segment LED display, but it throws an error during compilation. I’ve tried different programs, but they all yield the same result, so I haven't been able to test it on actual hardware. The IR receiver is a TSOP31236, which operates at 36 kHz. Using component macros makes the flowchart much simpler and streamlines the program; I find the current diagrams a bit difficult to understand.

I've not had time to work on this either - but I've just received some PICs including a few of the types mentioned above and might get a chance to depend a little time over the next week.
It would be better to get the component fixed - but i was hoping to get something working - at least as a test of the hardware - but yes it would be a little more complicated (making it a full component if complicated by the interrupts which vary between MCUs) - we'd need some professional help on this

Hi Martin,
I actually posted this program as a sample in the BUG section. But if we can do something with it... that would be excellent!
The display isn't showing data; it lights up at the start of the program—just as a test to confirm it's taking readings—and I connected an LED to pin A2 to indicate when the RC5 detects incoming data, so the display should show it if that happens.
