I just changed the target with idf.py set-target esp32c3 and uploaded - and away it went
(I got a handful of C3 boards from Temu - also ideal for a current project) In the 'preamble' sent by the chip -

Might be - and just using the standard UART?
I just changed the target with idf.py set-target esp32c3 and uploaded - and away it went (I got a handful of C3 boards from Temu - also ideal for a current project)
