Hi Oscar,

I've looked into this and created another DLL. Can you please try it and see if it allows detection of your FTDI device?

The DLL is in the attached ZIP file. It needs to replace the existing SerialDLL.dll file that is in Flowcode's Data\API.DLL folder.

Please let me know if this works for you.

Thanks,
Steve.

Hi Oscar, Hi Ben, Hi Steve

I like to use this auto comport too. But when I use the program from Ben, it don't shows me a port, even I have some.

Hello Stefan

Which com port are you trying to open? the number 40?

Have you modified the VID/PID?

Is a FTDI Device?

I have tried several units (always with the same vid / pid) and they are recognized and numbered correctly.

I also tried to run the program on different computers and for now all fine.

Have you installed the official ftdi drivers? Have you installed the new dll?

Excuse me if these seem trivial questions to you but sometimes the problem is just a simple thing

Yes driver is new and the VID and PID look like the same value.
Dll is copied.

Hi Oscar

Thanks a lot for your help. It's working now. The problem was the dll.
I copied it to an "old " folder with an old FC9.
So this autodedect comport is really a good thing.

regards

Stefan
