Hi

Thanks. I would appreciate it if you could also include the RC5 component (TSOP31236) 36 kHz; I can't get it to detect the data transmission from the IR LED. I tested it in Flowcode 10 and Flowcode 11.

Saludos

Hi

I don't have one of those components to test with, but I think not so long ago another contributor was using one. Maybe have a look through the forum?

A problem you will face in troubleshooting these kind of issues is lack of test gear such as scope / logic analyser. Even a cheap logic analyser that can be found online for a few pounds is better than nothing.

My understanding of the receiver is that it is centred around a frequency of 36KHz so you need to ensure you pair your transmitter correctly. If incorrect then you will have problems.

Without test equipment you can really only do basic tests. One I can think on is this.

The component appears to output a logic high when not receiving, and pulses low when a correct signal is received. Therefore create a very simple circuit / chart that looks for a falling edge on a pin connected to the output of the component. Once triggered switch on an LED or such like. Point your transmitter at the circuit and see what happens. If anything valid is received your LED should light. It is a simple test that will verify that the component itself works and that the transmitter is compatible.

Hi,

Okay, I'm going to try to get an oscilloscope or buy one.

Hi

Many entry level models available at budget prices that will have two channels and probably a signal generator too. Don't forget to also check out virtual instruments as they can be very cost effective and will most likely include logic analyser functions too.

I believe Matrix do an eBlock logic analyser now, in case anyone is interested.
