18F8520 MCLR pin

There is no config setup to disable the MCLR pin.
Is there a way to disable MCLR pin using C code or any other means except or a pull up resistor .

I'm afraid the MCLR pin pullup to VCC is required on this device, there is no way to disable it in software.

If you have a PCB designed without the pullup then there may be a pin compatible device you can use which does offer the internal MCLR feature.
