Hi
Found the minipad thingy. Took forever to find a charging lead though....
Not sure how good this will work out. It has probably sat in a drawer unused for over a decade so the chances of me remembering passwords / recovery are not high. I think but don't quote me that I was forced to use some apple address when registering so that has probably been deleted through lack of use.
I know that support is long gone and I'm told that if you take one to apple for whatever, they only offer you a trivial discount against a new version. Wow... hold me back.....not.
Other than running FileMaker, I never found a use for it as nothing else that I wanted would run on it. Well SonoS did but it was a pain as every time (or so it seemed) I wanted to use it I had to update something and that meant all sorts of security hassles. Too much bother for so little worth.
If I manage to open it up I'll let you know.
Regards

Re: Flowcode Developer's web export question re IOS Safari browser display
Hi
I have to admit being somewhat surprised that I managed to get in. It came up with requests for all sorts of passwords / login to "whatever (cr)apple service" that I ignored and so far so good.
I opened up Safari and pointed it to my web address that serves time in a json format If you are not decoding then a browser will just show the string, but if you use FC to look at the web address and decode the string it gives much more meaningful replies.
It grabbed the string without issue.
I'm leaving it to do nothing but charge overnight as the charger it is in is underpowered and struggles to both charge and use.
I will perhaps create a FC "app" to grab time from my server and display it nicely. I can test in Windows and android browsers easily, then can probably email it to the why?pad to see how it fairs there.
Regards

That's promising. Can you also transfer the HTML file from this thread (both mine and the newer one from Steve) and open them up on Safari?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Flowcode Developer's web export question re IOS Safari browser display
Hi
Fully charged.
I will need to sort out the email accounts as there appears to be some issue with the ones on it. They are not connecting. I'm just heading out now so I will look into it later today and once resolved I'll report back. I'm not expecting too much trouble, I probably changed passwords or actually deleted accounts from the mail server or such like.
Well when I say not expecting much trouble it is an apple.....
Regards

Re: Flowcode Developer's web export question re IOS Safari browser display
Hi
I'd forgotten just how unfriendly and troublesome these can be and it is little wonder it has been in a drawer for so long. Eventually got both the above files downloaded on the stupid machine but could I find them? Of course not..... that would be a useful feature....
Ages later with the help of a file manager I had downloaded years ago I located them and there was a safari icon associated with them.
They both opened up but the gauges and graph did not appear, just buttons (functional). I have no idea if it does screenshots or not but I attached a photo of the screen.
I tried to download different browsers but app store tells me pretty much everything in the entire universe won't run on this. Even Classilla threw a wobbly but did tell me to try later....
As per an above post, I would need to plug the useless crapple device into a Mac to run web developer etc and whom in their right mind thought that would be a great idea?
If you are running a more modern OS than 9.3.6 then you could try downloading Firefox, Chrome or any of the alternatives to Safari that are out there to see if they work. That is about the best I can guess at present.
