Re: Flowcode crashing when trying to add componets to 2d panel
Is this every component or just some of them? And does it make any difference if you add the components by right-clicking in the component menu or dragging them onto the panel?
Also, have you fully updated your components via "Help...Library Updates"?

Re: Flowcode crashing when trying to add componets to 2d panel
Sorry, but it would help if you could answer these questions:
- Is this every component or just some of them? (and please name a few of the components that do not work)
- Does it make any difference if you add the components by right-clicking in the component menu or dragging them onto the panel? Which way causes the error, or is it both ways?
- Have you fully updated your components via "Help...Library Updates"? If not, please do that and restart Flowcode.

Just give the complete answer, it doesnt make a difference if you drag or right click and press the add button it will crash either way. Yes I have checked the library update.
Has I have said the only way to get it to work is to use the legacy 2d but that isnt a option in the menus.
The components im using are BL0114 and grove temp sensor 1. I have tried other 2D componets and same crash occurs. 3D components work fine.

How do you find the version? It was installed in Nov 25 so I'm guessing its the latest

Re: Flowcode crashing when trying to add componets to 2d panel
Thanks for those answers. I've just checked and I have no problem adding those components so I am unsure what the problem could be.
Assuming you have the latest version of Flowcode v10 and the latest version of the components, the issue must be something unusual with your PC setup. Is there anything unusual there? For example, running via a virtual machine or across a network? Do you have any 'aggressive' anti-malware apps (or similar) running that could disrupt the normal operation of Flowcode?
You could try restarting your PC in safe mode. If Flowcode then works, then it maybe some 3rd party software is causing the issue. If Flowcode still shows this error in safe mode, then it could be a problem with the installation of Flowcode and you could try reinstalling it onto your hard drive.
We have many users running Flowcode v10 successfully, but I cannot recall anyone having such a fundamental issue where all components fail to be added to the 2d panel.

Re: Flowcode crashing when trying to add componets to 2d panel
There is a question mark in the top-right of Flowcode that shows the version of the software.
Re: Flowcode crashing when trying to add componets to 2d panel
If I send you some screen shots of the settings and folder locations would that help?
I work in a college so the install was completed by the IT department. We cant run and execute without getting whitelisted. I'm not running a virtual machine or across a network though.
I'll try rebooting and rebooting in safe mode (if I can not sure college will let me use safe mode)
How do I check the version number? I can see it v10 but dont know beyound that

The version number can be found via the "?" in the top-right of Flowcode's screen:
The components will be loaded from this location:
Typically, this will resolve to "C:\ProgramData\MatrixTSL\FlowcodeV10".
Flowcode should have full access to that location. Perhaps there are some unusual settings that are restricting access to this location.
