Error during opening of projects

Good day flow code team

I am encountering this error when opening a project new or old
I did a complete reinstall of my package but the problem persist

Could you perhaps point me in the correct direction to as to what i need to do to fix this
My OS is Windows 7 64 bit
any assistants will be highly appreciated

Hi, Andre.
I don't know much about that issue and cause.
Can you try something which may or may not work?
Make sure Flowcode is fully closed.
Run Regedit.
Browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\MatrixTSL\FlowcodeV9\Options
In the right window pain, Double click on GfxEngine
Change Value data: from glhw to glsw
Run Flowcode.

A word of warning.
Please be careful when editing the Windows registry.
Make sure you make appropriate backups and don't do it if unsure of what you are doing.
You could cause big problems with your Windows installation!

Just adjusting what I stated, should not cause any additional issues.
But you do so at your own risk

It was bugging me what it could have been from the start

would you be able to share the bit of information you have on the differences between the two

That error might occur due to a problem with your graphics card. You could try updating your video drivers, restart your PC, and set Flowcode back to h/w mode (this setting is in Flowcode's global options). If that doesn't work, falling back to the software mode should be fine for you.

Hi Andre,
The directions I gave, was because I am assuming that Flowcode was not loading to allow you to go into global options?
I should have stated both ways of changing OpenGL mode from hardware to software.
That is what the registry change did.
Steve knows more about the workings of Flowcode than anyone so I would personally follow what he states.
If the new drivers fix the issue and allow you to run Graphics engine in OpenGL hardware mode (View, Global Settings, Applicaion Tab) then that is the best option as Steve has suggested.

Thank you for your explanation that has pointed out the route cause of the error
I will work on updating my display drivers this week end
When the disruption to my work flow will be reduced significantly
one`s done I will test it and revert back to you regarding the results
