I tried to make this into a challenge for myself but failed and have to ask - How do I get a "key" that is associated to something I'm trying to purchase?

You get the key by purchasing it. Then you add it to your account to unlock it in the licensing mechanism.

On flowcode.co.uk, at the top of the screen choose ‘buy Flowcode’ next go to upgrade user and choose the module(s) you want to buy.
