Hi,
I know this toolchain can be a nightmare but personally I have never had any issues. I have a new Win11 PC that I have installed FC 10 & 11 on.
The ESP installation seemed to go as planned but when I tried to compile to target I had communication issues. After a bit of investigation the CP2102 driver was not installed. I might be wrong but I cannot recall needing to do this seperately in the past.
I know this is out of FC hands but wondered if it is a new issue it would be good to add this step to the installation guide. It was version 5.3a if that helps.
Regards,
Bob

Re: ESP toolchain installation
Hi Bob,
It could potentially be a fake or less then legit version of the chip.
FTDI had a problem a while back where they actively blocked fake chips from auto installing using the drivers on Windows update. Could be a similar issue. Likely once a legit chip is detected and the official driver has been installed it will work for all the clones and copies too.
