Hello,

For AVR programming you can use something like a USBtinyISP.

Or an AVRISPmkII can be good though these tend to be fiddly to get working. Lots of different conflicting USB drivers.

Or if you want something which is good for a wide range of devices then the forte programmer is a good option.
