Cannot install the E-Blocks2 drivers inside VM with Windows 11

Post by andeug »

Hi,

I am unable to install the drivers for the E-Blocks2 BL0055, which I own, or for Arduino, due to the "Install failed" error that I get immediately after I start the setup for both installers on 64-bit architecture:

In Device Manager I see "BL0055 Arduino Uno Shield" without drivers because they are not installed.

I also own a Windows 11 laptop, on which I had no problems installing both E-Blocks2 and Arduino drivers.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I have also tried to "run as administrator," and I get the same upper errors despite already being an admin on my VM.
After restarting my Virtual Machine in Safe Mode, I get the same errors, and the Setup process doesn't work further than those two error screens.

My setup consists of a Windows 11 virtual machine inside Parallels Desktop, because I am a Mac user.

Thank you,
Andreas

I can help the Matrix TSL team debug this problem if someone contacts me privately.
Recompiling the Eblocks2 drivers might be required, as the files on the FAQ page are pretty old: https://www.flowcode.co.uk/faq/?a=03
