Hi

Sorry to be brief (Friday night :) )

If you search on the web you will find many sites that document the differences between ESP modules

This is a link to espressif but other sites might be more informative.

https://docs.espressif.com/projects/esp ... rison.html

The best advice to getting the ESP's working is to follow the advice in the WiKi exactly.

hi,
Thx for your prompt reply but all these questions on original post was for Flowcode Staff to get precise answer.

Please do not tell me to check on the web before to ask! ;) :
"If" you search on the web you will find many sites that document the differences between ESP modules
I know what are differences between different ESP Socs and and this is why my question are precise but may be not enough clear for you

1- on the first picture sent, there is one chip named "ESP32S" not "ESP32-S" but there is no "ESP32S" Espressif Chip serie !
so to which ESP Socs refer "ESP32S" ?

2- You didn't reply :
Chip with "!" (red exclamation mark) mean that need to buy the pack?
if no, what mean the red exclamation mark?

3- You didn't reply:
if ESP32-S2 an ESP32-C3 series are already available and free available IC , so it mean that all these ESP32-S2 series chip can be used with FC10 ?
see my post on this link.
Ben was working on it according to my request.

4- You didn't reply:
Which esp32 IDF version can be used with FC10?
on the link you provide, there is no information about FC10 IDF supported version.

Regards,
Seb

Thanks, chipfryer27, for answering this initially. It really helps us staff when VCs and other users try to help as we have a large workload and can't be around 7 days a week to answer.

I've finally found some time this weekend to answer some things on the forums.

Ben should hopefully be able to answer this one. You may need to wait until after the weekend for an answer.

The "!" means the target is unlicensed. You can still choose it, but it will not compile. But please see my post here as there is a small issue with this in the current v10 release.

Only the targets listed in the "free" section are available without purchasing the ESP chip-pack. For ESP devices, this is ESP32 and ESP32_WROOM_32.

4- Which esp32 IDF version can be used with FC10?
I believe we currently support the same one we use with v9, but are looking into ways of using newer version. This is being discussed elsewhere on these forums.

I hope this helps answer some of your issues and sorry you had to wait for a response from me. I've been very busy since finishing work yesterday and only now have found some time to answer issues here.

Ok so ESP32-S2 an C3 are in ESP chip-pack.
So I'm surprised that they can be programmed with IDF4.1 like in FC9

please check your private message

Hello Seb,

The ESP S2 and C3 are unfortunatley not yet supported, it seems the chip definitions have been put in the release for v10 but they are not yet ready or viable targets. Sorry for any confusion and I will annouce via the fourms when we have completed the work to get these in and support the newer version of the ESP32 IDF.

Hi Seb,

IDF v5.0 is now largely working apart from WIFI and ADC. If you don't need these then fingers crossed the S2 device should be working. I need to do more testing but not sure when I'll find the time. Currently booked up next week but I'll see if I can put something in for the week after.
